Mobile Speech Therapy brings speech, language, swallowing and thinking assessment and intervention to you in your home. We utilize our materials or your materials that you use in everyday life. We can address your goals through your everyday activities and hobbies like cooking, gardening, or taking a walk in our neighborhood. Our goal is to help you become more independent and successful in your own living environment.
There are many! We come to you to provide more functional therapy, personalized to your needs within your own environment. Specialized mobile therapy, like Polaris Speech, has been proven to result in greater functional gains and satisfaction for the patient. With Polaris Speech you are working with your personal and consistent speech therapist from the first time you call our number throughout your plan of care and through discharge. You also can continue to use us as a resource for any questions you might have in the future becuase we truly get to know you throughout the therapeutic process.
It depends on your method of payment. If you use medicare with or without a supplement, we cannot provide services when any home health specialty (OT, PT, ST, Nursing or assistants) are also coming throughout the week or month. If you have private insurance or managed medicare we can check to see if this would be a possibility.
Yes! if you have outpatient speech therapy benefits. Polaris Speech accepts Medicare and Anthem plans and is out of network (which means we can check to see what percentage your plan would cover) for other insurances. We offer private pay options as well. If your insurance covers outpatient therapy in a building clinic, they will cover mobile outpatient therapy in your house.
Yes! We collaborate with your primary therapist to support your goals and transition your skills to your functional home environment. Depending on your insurance, you will most likely need to pay out of pocket for my services becuase they would be in addition to the frequency of services medically necessary. With Medicare, we could not provide additional skills services, but we can carry out a plan of care created with your primary therapists to transition skills to your home environment.
